Laurie Lee Cosby will be conducting a Vocal Performance Mini-Camp for singers grades 9-12, W-F June 15-17 at the First Baptist Church of Longview, Texas.  Camp hours will be 1:00-3:30 p.m. W-F followed by a capstone recital on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The camp costs $150 if you register by June 3 and $175 if you register by June 10.  There are no refunds after June 10.  Singers come with a song prepared to be memorized for the Friday recital. Any students who want assistance selecting and/or preparing a song can sign-up for lessons at a discount prior to the camp starting now for $35 per 30 minute lesson or $50 per 45 minute lesson.  Private Lessons can also be schedule camp week. Studio Bella Voce in East Texas!

Studio Bella Voce will be offering lessons in the Longview area in Marshall and Diana beginning January 11, 2016. Laurie Lee Cosby will be making a limited number of slots available in her 2 studios.  She also teaches voice and directs choir at ETBU.  Check the Offerings page for more details!

Rick Estes Conducts Cantor Workshops!

Rick Estes will be giving cantor workshops and master classes for the Cantors at St. Francis of Assisi in Grapevine, TX on August 8 and a follow up workshop on October 31. Cantors will review the basics of vocal production and Psalm interpretation. Studio Bella Voce has engaged in a renewed focus of training and coaching adult students.  It is now the focus of the DFW studios.  We coach musicians that gig, sing in the theatre and church musicians of all styles.

SBV Goes to East Texas!

Laurie Lee Cosby will be relocating to East Texas and that means Studio Bella Voce will be going there too! Laurie will have studios in Marshall and Diana. She will open her studio up in September. Rick Estes and Kendra Kufeldt will still be teaching voice lessons in DFW and Studio Bella Voce will still be hosting some performances classes, workshops and recitals in the DFW area.

Young Singers Performance Camp!

SBV DFW will be hosting a YOUNG SINGERS Performance Camp M-TH June 8-11 at Orchestra Hall in Fort Worth. The camp will run M-Th from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ending with a noon recital free and open to the public on Thursday. This camp is for students who will be entering grades 5-7 Fall of 2015. The purpose of the camp is to give young singers an opportunity to learn basic vocal technique, how to prepare a song, interpretation of a song and performance etiquette. Students can come with a memorized song to polish or learn a short solo at the camp. The Early Bird Enrollment deadline is May 30. The early enrollment price is $125.  The later enrollment camp fee is $150. Students can also choose to have a private voice lesson within camp hours for $25 for each lesson up to 3 lessons. FWISD In-Service Workshops

SBV Faculty members have been out and about helping fellow music teachers! Laurie Lee Cosby presented an in-service workshop for the Elementary Music Teachers of FWISD on Vocal Health and Rick Estes presented an in-service workshop for the Secondary Music Teachers on Prepping for UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest. Welcome Rick Estes!


We want to welcome the amazing Mr. Rick Estes to Studio Bella Voce! He is no stranger to the Fort Worth area.  He has served TCU’s voice department for over 20 years.  Mr. Estes brings 40 years of opera experience as well as his own well developed and proven methods of song preparation and performance. We are so blessed to have his instruction available to our students and his assistance in several of our growing programs this fall.

Book Signing

Laurie Lee Cosby and Donna Hinds Sawyers will be presenting their new book, “A Most Rewarding Independent Music Studio” at the National NATS Conference in Boston this summer.  They will be appearing with editor and vocal pedagog, Scott McCoy in the Inside View Press Publisher’s Showcase held between 12:15-1:45 p.m. between July 6-8.  They will also be signing books at the Inside View Press booth in Exhibits.
