DFW Studios Partner with FWYO

The SBV DFW studios are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra.  The DFW SBV studios will meet at Orchestra Hall for lessons and classes starting in September 2013.  Studio Bella Voce is very excited about future collaboration with other instrumental teachers and instrumental high school students.  The space is going to offer much more flexibility and classes will have use of large rooms with Steinway pianos.  The hall offers a large stage with great acoustics for singers.   We are thrilled with this new development!

Laura Graduates from OCU!

Congrats to Laura Tuttle for graduating from OCU with her degree in Musical Theatre.  Laura was a student of Donna Hinds and Laurie Cosby at Studio Bella Voce HOU.  She was also a 2nd place NATS winner in HOU for Musical Theatre her senior year in high school.  We are so proud of you Laura!

Alumni Gets High Honors

Congrats to DFW Studio Bella Voce 2009 Alumni, Annalee Hurst, for receiving The Outstanding Achievement in Studio Award for The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute!   Annalee will be graduating with honors from NYU in May.  We are proud to have sent our students to OCU, NYU, OU, AMDA, CCM Cincinnati and TCU!

Crossover at SBV!

At Studio Bella Voce, we provide crossover coaching.  You can study and sing any style.  Our faculty is certified and highly trained in all styles and productions.  We have clients in all genres.  This picture is of one of our faculty, Laurie Lee Cosby, who not only teaches in a traditional classical collegiate and musical theater program at TWU, but also sings and plays in her church’s praise band.

College Win!

Laurie Cosby would like to recognize one of her TWU students, Laura-Beth Grentz, for winning First Place in her Classical Collegiate Division for DFW Area NATS auditions! Laura’s winning aria was “Fair Robin I Love” from Tartuffe! TWU took 3 out of 5 wins in the women’s classical collegiate divisions!

Daron Cast at Dallas Lyric

Congrats to Daron Cockerell for being cast as Eileen in Too Many Girls Too Many Girls at Dallas Lyric Stage!  Also congrats to Daron for being nominated for a Column Award for Best Actress in a Musical, Equity, for her role as the mother in Ragtime.   Way to go Daron!
